Die Gemeinde der Übrigen: 4. Ihre letzte Botschaft der Gnade

[0:00] Die Zeit vergeht wie im Fluge. Aber bald sind wir im Königreich Gottes, dann können wir den ganzen Tag, die ganze Woche, den ganzen Monat, das ganze Jahr zusammen verbringen. Und wenn wir mit Jesus gemeinsam gehen, dann wachsen wir in der Erkenntnis und der Liebe, und dann gibt es niemals ein Ende dieser Erfahrung. Könnt ihr das glauben? Ich kann das gar nicht richtig verstehen. Man verliert den Sinn für die Zeit. Man wird dann nicht sagen, morgen habe ich jetzt meinen 16 Trillionsten, 17 Billionsten Tag, oder Geburtstag oder so. Das ist dann irgendwann irrelevant. Es gibt dann niemals ein Ende mit Jesus, niemals ein Ende des Wachstums. Könnt ihr euch das vorstellen, wie die Liebe füreinander noch wachsen wird? Ohne Ende. Ich weiß gar nicht, wie meine Frau mich noch mehr lieben kann. Und zwar durch die ganze Ewigkeit. Das kann ich gar nicht begreifen. Also seht ihr, was für eine wirklich herrliche Zukunft wir doch haben. Liebe Freunde, das sind Bilder, über die wir nachdenken sollten. Alles andere hier wird irgendwann zusammenbrechen. Man ist vielleicht jung und schön. Und wenn man 50, 60, 70 ist, dann kommen dann die Falten und die Schmerzen. Und dann ist es irgendwann vorbei. Aber mit dem Herrn, wenn er kommt, dann wird es niemals ein Ende geben für die Güte Gottes. Und heute haben wir die Gelegenheit, davon etwas zu schmecken. Aber wie viele hier in Stuttgart wissen überhaupt davon? Deswegen, liebe Freunde, es ist eine Zeit, wo wir das, was wir hier aufnehmen, wir auch mit anderen teilen sollten. Und jetzt wollen wir für unserem letzten Thema noch einmal so ein stilles Gebet haben, wo wir im Niederknien und den Herrn bitten für eine ganz besondere Segnung mit seinem Heiligen Geist. Amen.

[4:29] Wenn man über Erweckung und Reformation spricht, werden wir uns jetzt in dieser letzten Präsentation über neues Licht unterhalten, das uns der Herr seit 1844 gegeben hat. Und da wird es auch um neues Licht gehen, das manche auch unter uns vielleicht nicht allzu gerne hören oder nicht so fröhlich dabei sind. Aber es geht um ganz lebenswichtige Dinge, die wirklich uns helfen sollen, auf die Zeit der Trübsal vorbereitet zu sein. Hier sehen wir unsere Botschaft noch einmal. Erinnert ihr euch, das war ja schon im Wesentlichen entwickelt vor der Enttäuschung? Also die ganze Struktur unseres prophetischen Verständnisses war schon vor der Enttäuschung im Wesentlichen fest. Aber die Einsicht von 1844 war, dass Jesus in das Allerheiligste hineingegangen ist. Er begann die Reinigung des himmlischen Heiligtums. Und wir sagen jetzt gereinigt von was? All unsere Sünden, die sich dort in den Büchern befinden, werden ausradiert werden, sodass nichts üblich bleiben wird, wenn der Plan der Erlösung vollendet ist. Gleichzeitig, wenn Christus dieses Reinigungswerk begonnen hat, hat auch der Heilige Geist ein Reinigungswerk in der Gemeinde begonnen. Deswegen sollte eigentlich die Gemeinde heute noch christusähnlicher sein und reiner als je zuvor. Aber doch ist es so, wenn ich manche Kirchen und manche Gemeinden besuche, dann ist der Unterschied zwischen ihnen und anderen Kirchen der Christenheit quasi non existent, nicht zu finden. Aber in all den Kirchen hat Gott doch viele treue Menschen. Sie sind vielleicht sogar nicht zufrieden mit ihren Kirchen. Und sie suchen nach Jesus in der Kirche. Und sie können ihn dort nicht finden. Und sie schauen sich um. Und wenn wir bereit sind, dann finden sie Jesus in unserer Gemeinde. Das Ziel muss also sein, nicht möglichst so ähnlich zu sein wie andere Kirchen, sondern anders zu sein. Dass in unserer Gemeinde jedes Mitglied mit dem Heiligen Geist erfüllt ist. Ist das nicht ein wunderschönes Bild? Ist das ein Traum? Oder kann das wirklich hier realisiert werden? Liebe Freunde, es hängt letztlich auch von dir ab, ob du den Ratschlägen des Herrn folgen möchtest. Aber der Herr enttäuscht uns nie. Und der Herr wird unseren Geschmack ändern. In der Unterhaltungswelt. In der Welt der Freuden. Im Essen und Trinken. So wie wir unseren Urlaub verbringen. In allem was wir tun, kann Jesus das Zentrum sein. Und dabei möchte ich mit euch etwas nachdenken.

[9:29] Was ist das Evangelium für die Endzeit? Und es ist eine Entwicklung seit Matthäus 28, wo es heißt, dass das Evangelium in aller Welt verkündet werden soll. Hier haben wir ein inspiriertes Zitat. Die dritte Engelsbotschaft ist die Botschaft der guten Nachricht für diese letzten Tage. Und sie darf auf keinen Fall von anderen Interessen überschattet, noch als eine unwichtige Überlegung dargestellt werden. Wird in unseren Einrichtungen irgendetwas über die dritte Engelsbotschaft gestellt, so ist dort nicht das Evangelium die führende Kraft. Und natürlich umfasst die dritte Engelsbotschaft alle drei Engelsbotschaften. Da haben wir dieses Zitat. Das Evangelium für diese Zeit ist in der Botschaft des dritten Engels eingeschlossen, welche die Botschaften des ersten und zweiten Engels umfasst. Und überall verkündet werden soll. Denn sie ist die gegenwärtige Wahrheit. Diese Nachricht muss mit großer Klarheit und Kraft vorangehen. Sie darf nicht von menschlichen Theorien und Spitzfindigkeiten umnebelt werden. Die einfache Botschaft der Bibel und der Bibel allein. Lasst uns zuerst einmal ganz kurz die erste Engelsbotschaft anschauen. Es ist eine Mission, die im Kontext der Gerichtsstunde stattfindet. So wird also das ewige Evangelium verkündet. Es ruft auf, fürchtet Gott. Das ist ein Aufruf zur Buße. Wir müssen Gott nicht fürchten und zittern. Es sei denn, dass wir immer weiter sündigen möchten und tun. Gott zu fürchten bedeutet, es zu fürchten, gegen Gott zu sündigen, den Allmächtigen. Es ist ein wirklich klarer Aufruf zur Buße. Jetzt, was bedeutet es ihm, die Ehre zu geben? Gott mit allen unseren Talenten verherrlichen und erheben. Physisch, geistig und geistlich. Mit all unseren Kräften, ein ganzheitlicher Ansatz zu unserer Erfahrung. Da soll es nichts in unserem Leben geben, was wir von Jesus ausschließen. Dann ist es ein Aufruf, den Schöpfer anzubeten. Den Sabbat heilig zu halten. Und das ist hier sehr wichtig. Dass wir der Welt durch Anbetung zeigen. Dass wir der Welt zeigen, was wirkliche Anbetung ist, denn dazu sind wir letztlich berufen, dass wir das tun können. Wir müssen nicht zu anderen Kirchen gehen, um zu lernen, wie man eigentliche Anbetung, Worship praktiziert. Aber einige tun das. Sie sind nicht damit zufrieden, mit dem, was wir anzubieten haben. Aber wahre Anbetung kann niemals abgesondert sein vom wahren Schöpfer. Und wenn man sich die prophetische Beweisung unserer Kirche anschaut, sie hat über 1.000 Beispiele über wahre Anbetung geschrieben. Und trotzdem rennen wir zu anderen Kirchen. Freunde, in vielen Fällen ist unser Geschmack verwandelt. Und all diese Botschaften der ersten Engel sind im Kontext des letzten Gerichts. Es ist eine Dringlichkeit. Jesus beendet das Werk. Und es gibt immer noch Menschen, die Jesus brauchen. Und diese Botschaft muss die ganze Welt erreichen. Wir haben hier einige junge Leute. Vielleicht ruft Gott dich jetzt auf, ein Missionar zu sein. Gibt es etwas Wichtigeres, als ein Missionar für Jesus zu sein? Und euer Leben ist in seinen Händen. Und ihr braucht euch um nichts Sorgen machen. Wenn ihr wissen wollt, welche Richtung im Leben einzuschlagen ist, wenn ihr wissen wollt, welche Richtung im Leben einzuschlagen ist, redet man einfach zu Jesus. Aber wagst du es ihm zu vertrauen? Ich habe das selbst erlebt. Meine Eltern waren davon überhaupt nicht begeistert. Und als ich dann um etwas Geld bat, um in adventistischen Schulen zu studieren, da haben sie gesagt, da ist die Tür. Und wenn der Herr dich führt, dann wird er sich schon um dich kümmern. Und er hat es getan. Und zwar ohne jedes Versagen. Ich bin nie arm gewesen. Ich bin noch nie reich geworden. Mein Schatz ist im Himmel. Und dieser Schatz wird niemals zugrunde gehen. Und ich ruhe einfach in den Armen Jesu.

[16:31] Und hier also, gehen wir zur zweiten Engelsbotschaft. Das ist eine gute Botschaft für uns. Auch wenn einige sie gar nicht so mögen. Wenn Babylon nicht gefallen ist, dann gibt es überhaupt gar keine biblische Basis für eine Adventbewegung. Aber Babylon hat es gefallen. Aber wenn Babylon gefallen ist, muss es auch ein Heim für Gottes Volk geben. Und das ist quasi die biblische Grundüberlegung, warum die Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten die Gemeinde der Übrigen sind. Das zeigt auch, dass wir all diesen Organisationen außerhalb des Adventismus nicht vertrauen können. Gottes Volk ist immer noch da, aber sie müssen herausgerufen werden. Aber die Organisationen haben keinen speziellen Platz in Gottes Wunsch und Plan, die Welt auf die Wiederkunft Jesu vorzubereiten. Und wenn man sich diese Organisationen genauer anschaut, und sich anschaut, wie sie dann über den Adventismus denken, dann ist das nicht so positiv. Hier haben wir wirklich eine einzigartige Rolle. Und wenn Jesus uns wirklich Mitleid schenkt, dann können wir gar nicht anders, als hinaus zu gehen. Mit der Botschaft. Wenn der Heilige Geist dich an diesem Wochenende wirklich berührt hat, wird der Rest deines Lebens anders sein. Glaubst du das? Praise den Herrn. Diese Botschaft ist also sehr einzigartig. Hier haben wir die Mission Gottes als letzte Gnadenbotschaft. Ein Volk vorzubereiten, das am Tag des Herrn steht und nicht fällt. Alle Wahrheit wird wiederhergestellt werden. Nicht in der katholischen Kirche, nicht in der lutherischen Kirche, oder in der reformierten. Aber in den Übrigen. Und diese Wahrheiten sind entscheidend in der Vorbereitung auf die Wiederkunft Jesu. Und es sind drei besondere Qualitäten, die die dritte Engelsbotschaft uns zeigt. Es heißt, hier sind jene, die die Geduld der Heiligen haben. Sie halten die Gebote Gottes und den Glauben Jesu.

[20:14] Was sind jetzt also diese neuen Einsichten in die Gebote Gottes? Es hat unsere Pioniere einige Jahre gebraucht, die es richtig haben. Es waren Joseph Bates und Hiram Edson. Aber der Rest hat es nicht wirklich verstanden. Vor 1850, als wir über die Gebote Gottes gesprochen haben, da sprachen wir über die Zehn Gebote, das moralische Gesetz und natürlich besonders über den Sabbat. Aber nach 1850 gab der Herr ein etwas tieferes Verständnis. Dort wurde außerdem erkannt, dass Gottes Gesetze auch die Naturgesetze umfassen. Dass auch die Gesetzmäßigkeiten des menschlichen Organismus und der Gesundheit mit eingeschlossen sind. Und dass es da eine ganz enge Verbindung gibt zwischen Gesundheit und Geistlichkeit. Als ich von einem niederländischen Pastor getauft worden bin, er hat gesagt, Darmsteegt, erinnere dich, du kannst so gesund leben, wie du willst, aber es hat nichts mit deiner Geistlichkeit zu tun. Und so habe ich das also am Anfang auch geglaubt. Aber nach dem Lesen und dem Studieren habe ich das etwas genauer studiert und gelesen und mein Horizont hat sich diesbezüglich erweitert. Unsere frühen Pioniere haben immer noch Tabak gekaut, sie haben Pork gegessen und all diese Dinge. Und es war nicht bis 1863, dass Ellen White diese Vision hatte, wo wirklich Gesundheit zu einem Teil der gegenwärtigen Wahrheit wurde. Gesundheitsbotschaft wurde in adventistische Theologie integriert. Es gibt eine sehr enge Verbindung zwischen Gesundheitsreform und der dritten Engelsbotschaft. Und wie ist das jetzt? Zunächst einmal durch die zehn Gebote. Übertretung der Gesundheitsgesetze ist letztlich eine Übertretung des sechsten Gebots. Was sagt das sechste Gebot? Du sollst nicht töten. Wenn wir also nicht angemessen essen, dann verkürzen wir unser Leben. Und wir töten uns letztlich selbst. Das haben die Pioniere so nach 10, 15 Jahren verstanden. Und natürlich ruft die dritte Engelsbotschaft zum Gehorsam allen Geboten Gottes gegenüber auf. Und natürlich auch das sechste Gebot ist da eingeschlossen. Der nächste Gedankengang, der bezog sich auf Gottes Schöpfertum. Die Gesetze des menschlichen Körpers sind göttliche Gesetze. Gesundheitsgesetze kommen von Gott. Sie sind göttlich. Also ist die Übertretung dieser Gesetze letztlich Sünde. Und auf dem Mangel 14, 12 ruft er zum Gehorsam allen Geboten gegenüber auf. Das ist also die zweite Begründung, die man anführte, wie Gesundheitsreform wichtig für unser Lebensstil ist. Aber da gibt es noch etwas Interessantes, nämlich den Zusammenhang zwischen Körper, Seele und Geist. Die Übertretung der Gesetzmäßigkeiten des menschlichen Körpers führt zu einer Kettenreaktion. Zuerst werden körperliche Kräfte geschwächt. Dann werden die geistigen Kräfte geschwächt. Und dann letztlich auch die geistlichen Kräfte, die geschwächt werden. Also körperlich, geistig und geistlich. Und so, Offenbarung 12, Vers 14, ruft für was auf? Obedienz aller Gottesverordnungen, inklusive all jenen, die die physischen, mentalen und spirituellen Kräfte regulieren. Und so, die Botschaft der Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten, eine Mission, die sich um die Restauration der menschlichen Ganzheit handelt und direkt mit der Erlösung zu tun hat.

[26:43] So, Sie können hier sehen, wie es Teil der heutigen Wahrheit wird. Und Gesundheitsreform und Mission. Es ist für die Erlösung der Glaubenden, als auch für die Welt. Detailstatement? So, Sie können hier sehen, was für ein Segen es ist, nicht nur für uns, sondern auch für die Welt. Die Bibel wartet nicht auf neue Bibelstunden und Studien, aber sie haben großes Interesse an ihrer eigenen Gesundheit. Und überall, wo man Gesundheit benutzt, als einen ersten Weg unseren Freunden zu begegnen, da sind sie offen dafür. Und wenn sie dann gesegnet sind und sich freuen über das, was wir ihnen gesundheitsmäßig helfen, dann ist das für die Welt. So, was ist mit der Erlösung und der Gesundheit? Es gibt ein wirklich lebenswichtiger Grundsatz bezüglich der Gesundheitsgesetze. Also der Effekt, den es auf unser Denken hat, beeinträchtigt unser Verständnis von geistlichen Dingen. Wie können wir also unser geistliches Unterscheidungsvermögen und unsere geistliche Erkenntnis wirklich verbessern? Sie sagt hier, You know, many years ago, we ate the whole foods. All kinds of food. No, no, no. Not the prepared foods. No, no, no. You see, nowadays we go to the store and everything is in packages. But in the past, we took whole potatoes, vegetables, and the cook of the house prepared all those things. Now, when we go, we get whole frozen packages, all prepared, very expensive, and yet God has put everything together in a potato. You know, in the sprouts, in the salads, everything. The point is here, if you take the simple foods of nature and if you prepare them in the most simple ways, they have the best effect on the mind and body.

[31:19] So here now, how does God now communicate with us? The role of physiology in divine communication. The role of physiology in divine communication. The brain nerves, which are in connection with the whole system, are the only way the heaven can communicate with the people and influence their inner life. Everything that disturbs the circulation of the electrical currents in the nervous system, reduces the strength of the vital forces of the mind. You can pray a lot, call upon the Lord in all your sicknesses, but unless you make some changes in your lifestyle, the Lord will not heal you. There are people who are having a terrible lifestyle. They call upon the pastor to anoint them and if they are healed, then they continue the terrible lifestyle. No, they need first to change and live in harmony with God's laws. And then God will heal you. See, that's very important. And so here it shows you then that our brain nerves, the electric currents, we need to foster in the best possible way. And God gave us plenty of counsels to deal with that. So what is now the object of the health reform? Here we read, always keep in mind, that the greatest goal of the health reform is to secure the best possible development of the mind, soul and body. So if you want to make a stamp in society, if you want to make a good life, then you need to follow the principles of nature. And it produces happiness today and in the future. And you know, this is all the new light from the study to obey all God's commandments. Now we are not the only ones who realize the importance. Many people of the new age do this. But much of the counsel of the new age is not good. It has influences of eastern spirituality. And it is connected also to yoga. But here God's people have the right insight. And what are we doing as Adventists? I have used this in my ministry. We worked for the Bangkok Adventist Hospital. I was there the director of health education. In charge of the chaplaincy. And pastor of the church. My wife was my associate. And why was I in charge of health education? After I finished my theology education, I read her counsels. I applied to Loma Linda. Got my masters in health education and nutrition. And then I went to the ministry. And all my evangelistic work and baptizing people through this message it opened up people and they joined the church. So you can see here how it works. Because that is how Jesus worked. He taught, he preached and he healed. And if you are interested in it, the beginning of August at Andrews University I conduct a workshop in natural remedies and hydrotherapy. Still today. And I have had 19 years I have done this. And friends, it is a blessing, it is a tremendous blessing. But many people separate spirituality from healthful living. Yet it is a total integration. It is divine origin. This work is of divine origin.

[38:11] So why do I do this work? To reveal Jesus and his compassion to the world. It is following the example of the great missionary. Nothing will help us more than the mission of the greatest medical missionary to understand and fulfill. Nothing helps us more than to see how holy this kind of work is. And in what perfect harmony it is with the life of the great missionary. The goal of our mission is that Christ also had. Why did God send his son to the fallen world? To make his love known to them and to prove. Christ came as a redeemer. During his entire service he had to make his mission to save sinners clear. All young people here, think about this mission. That you can work today like Jesus. And the blessings are above the earth. Here is the place of this work in our church. It must be connected with the third angel's message as the arm to the hand. It is not to take its place. It prepares people for the loud cry and the time of the tribulation. It purifies God's people for the translation. Medical missionary work is to be the great entering wedge. It is the pioneer work of the gospel. It is the gospel practiced and the compassion of Jesus revealed. The union of Christlike work for the body and Christlike work for the soul is the true interpretation of the gospel. Christ's methods are to be our methods. His mission was directed to the whole person. Involving preaching, teaching, healing. So should be his followers. And so this then was the insight that we received from a further insight of the commandments of God. And may God impress you how to get involved in this work. When I decided to go to Loma Linda instead of going to teach at Andrews my colleague said that I will make the greatest detour in my life. It will affect my career. But my career is in Jesus' hands and not in worldly perspective of climbing the ladder. As long as I can teach, preach and share the gospel of health I am in favor with Jesus. And so think about it, pray about it. And the Lord can bless you abundantly.

[42:37] New insights in the faith of Jesus. This is the last aspect that I present of the new light that Jesus gave us. Immediately after the disappointment we believed that it was the faith in the prophetic message of the 1844 Advent experience. After 1850 it included all the doctrines taught by Christ, his apostles, all the New Testament doctrines and requirements the gospel system embracing all the doctrines and requirements Jesus spoke. So you had the commandments of God and everything that Jesus commanded. That was then the faith of Jesus. But in 1888 we got new insights. Light from Minneapolis brought a new understanding of the faith of Jesus. And that is vital for overcoming. Let's see the conditions of the church prior to 1888. In 1856 Adventists hired Laodicea in church. Self-righteousness prevails. No piety and humility. 1868 Not one in twenty Adventists were living according to God's word. In 1873 faith in the soon coming of Jesus is waning. And in 1882 we established a day of prayer and fasting for the sad condition of the church. Now today we have days of prayer and fasting for evangelism but not how poor our church was. In 1887 the church was as dry as the hills of Gilboa. Because of the Christless sermons. In spite of the decline in our church God's great mercy gave another chance to us. How to revive the church bring the loud cry of revelation and the outpouring of the letter rain. And now we are more than a hundred years later. And we are in the midst of a great revival of the church. And we are in the midst of a great revival of the church. Is the letter rain already coming? The loud cry? So there must be some problems. And so what were the problems in the time of Minneapolis? In the church there was a Christlike atmosphere. Adoption of human strategies to accomplish the mission of the remnant church. A manifestation of loveless and inhuman behavior. Climate of conflict, disunity and party spirit. A bounding of criticism and gossip. Publication of doctrinal differences. Controversial issues introduced in the general conference. Too much sermonizing. What is the problem with sermonizing? That when you go to church you don't hear so much the word of God but the word of man. There is one text in the scripture reading and the rest the preacher without the Bible. Without the Bible.

[48:00] And so here then what was the light of Minneapolis? If you present it very quickly it is the presenting of the merciless charms of Jesus linked justification by faith and the righteousness of Christ with the third angel's message. So the three angel's messages are not only the mark of the beast and the beast and the beast no, it is the revelation of Christ's righteousness. And the third one is not Christ in the mind but live Christ's righteousness so that the world can see Jesus in us. That is the summary. Here you get now the most classical statement about the 1888 message. What was the most almost simple antied'station in German. These two have been used by an accomplished philosopher. Think about your own life. Whatever you have accomplished. How central was Jesus in your choices? Young people. What are you going to do with the rest of your life? Is Jesus central? What are you going to study? Are you consulting Jesus for your further studies? For selecting a boyfriend and a girlfriend? Where is Jesus? If you are not careful you end up wasting the rest of your life. And for those who are older what are you going to do with the rest of your life? Have you consulted Jesus in everything you do? Friends, if we do this things will be totally different. I have seen older people that took mission appointments going to Africa or Asia. Or going here to the inner cities in Berlin or in Stuttgart. And praying and searching for souls. Ellen White says that there are many people that are calling upon heaven for light. And you and I have the answer. And so see friends, this is what God wants us to be. To present the mature love of Jesus. But how can you do it? Unless you are in love with Jesus. And that comes through the word of God. Daily. Morning and evening. Call upon the Lord and open the word. And so here now is the relevance of the faith of Jesus. This is not the faith so much in Jesus which is necessary but the faith of Jesus. It is a vital characteristic of the remnant church. It represents Christ our righteousness. It reveals saving faith that results in forgiveness and in Christ-centered obedience to his word. It's the key to a victorious life in Jesus. How can you get the victory over all your problems? All your character failures. How can you control all of your thoughts? Only through Jesus. If you try it yourself you will fail. That is the reason why many people many Adventists even believe that you have to continue to sin until Jesus comes. But does the faith of Jesus fail? Is it? The faith of Jesus is invincible and you have to call upon Jesus to give you that faith. And he will never let you down. Now the question is, do you believe that? In the book of Revelation it says those who overcome will be in the paradise those who overcome will get a new name, etc. Is it just a dream? Or is it real? Friends, that is the question. And so it enables believers to follow the testimony of Jesus. It changes them into a loving, caring people who display the matchless charms of Jesus. It transforms Adventists into a holy people. And they will be able to keep the Sabbath holy. It qualifies us for the let the rain and the loud cry. It prepares us to stand in the day of the Lord. And it is the fundamental power of Jesus and it is the fundamental to solve the problems in the church. And it begins with you and me. Don't point to the conference. To the pastor. It begins with us. You believe that? This is the result of a true revival. And from now on we walk only in the faith of Jesus. You think that that was a positive message? Oh yes, we would say very, very good. But there was a lot of opposition. Criticizing the human weaknesses of the messengers. It had a discouraging influence on them. Opposition against the spirit of prophecy. Several churches found new experience but no large revival.

[57:48] And so here now the opposition against the spirit of prophecy has a similarity with the ancient Old Testament. And so what happened here? Opposition to the message. And so what happened here? Opposition to the message. They failed to search together the Bible in prayer and Bible study. They argued, criticized, rebutted, but failed to listen. Views were defended as landmarks that were not landmarks. And we experienced the judgment of God. Our whole publishing work went up in flames. Our whole sanitary went in flames. And God gave messages those are the results of the departure from the truth. The Lord doesn't need to repeat them today. They are there in our history. And so future challenges. What are the challenges that we as a church have to face? His truth has to be lived out and raised. And so what are you going to do? If you know all the teachings that are going around heresies don't be so disturbed because they are all the result of rejecting truth in our church. And so they are there. But we need to be established on the word of God. Satan's strategy. He wants to change our foundations. And he wants to break the rule of the devil. And this is the result of what Kellogg started to do. And this has affected our church. And still it is there. However, we as a people, we know the answer in the word of God. And daily, daily we need to be acquainted with God's messages. There is not fanaticism. No, that is simply preparing yourself to be a tremendous help in God's work. Therefore, there is a need of a great reformation among us. It should begin with the ministers. But it involves everyone of us. We read here, that a revival of fanaticism among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To strive for this should be our first task. Do we believe this? And so here now is our call, what God wants us to do. The most important work that we can do. No other thing should give you your attention. Do we believe this? Yes? Praise the Lord! Here is the challenge. At the end of this awakening weekend, has the Holy Spirit impressed you with the reformation that needs to take place in each one of our lives? Are we going to make the three angels' messages the center of our mission outreach? Can I see the hands of who want to make that commitment? Praise the Lord! Let us pray. Heavenly Father, you have seen the response to be a part of your work, to share the three angels' messages. Many here in this city don't know this message. But you have given us this light. And in a very special way, Father, give each one of us the strength and the courage to follow through on this commitment. Satan is not happy with this response. But Jesus is. Oh Father, give each one of us here, each family, the strength to make this commitment a reality in our lives. And I especially pray for the young people. They have a whole life before them. And it can be a life with Jesus. Oh Father, especially imbue them with your Holy Spirit. Fill them with your Spirit. And every decision in life, may Jesus be consulted. Bless the representatives of the various churches here today. May the Spirit of Revival continue to affect those churches. We praise you and we thank you for doing this. In Jesus' name. Amen.
