[0:30] Sehen Sie sich hier vorne an! Guten Morgen, alle! Ich hoffe, dass ihr euch als gesegnet empfindet, heute hier sein zu dürfen. Es ist wirklich ein großer Segen für mich, hier zu sein, und ich danke Gott, dass er das möglich gemacht hat. Ich bin so dankbar für das wunderbare Wetter, das Gott uns geschenkt hat. Ich bin froh, dass es nicht vor drei Wochen hier stattfand, als es immer ein bisschen geschneit hat hier. Und war es nicht auch wunderbar, dass Ted Wilson kurz vorbeigeschaut hat? Ich weiß nicht, was das für jeden machen würde, vielleicht seid ihr jetzt etwas Besonderes. Und ich bin wirklich davon überzeugt, dass wir von Gott gesegnet sind, solche einen Generalkonferenz-Präsidenten wie Ted Wilson zu haben. Ein Mann, der wirklich die biblische Botschaft glaubt. Der sich wirklich der Botschaft und Mission der Gemeinde ganz hingibt. Der in seinem besonderen Dienst jetzt vor allem sich darauf beschäftigt hat, uns zu ermutigen, die Gerechtigkeit Christi anzunehmen. Und der versteht, dass die Gemeinde dann vorankommt, wenn jedes einzelne Gemeindeglied involviert ist. Ich weiß, er war schon öfter in Deutschland. Er hat ein ganz besonderes Herzensanliegen auch für die deutsche Gemeinde, die Gemeinde Deutschland. Und ich bitte euch, dass ihr es zu einer Gewohnheit macht, für ihn zu beten. Es ist eine wirklich herausfordernde Zeit, wenn man Leiter in der Gemeinde ist. Und eure Gebete werden einen Unterschied machen. Lass uns gemeinsam beten und dazu niederknien. Lieber Vater im Himmel, wir kommen zu dir im Namen Jesu, deines Sohnes, Jesus Christus. Wir danken dir für dieses Zeltlager. Und ich bitte um einen besonderen Segen für die Leiter dieser Vereinigung hier. Und ich danke dir für die Gruppe der wirklich ausgezeichneten Pastoren, die hier dieser Vereinigung dienen. Und wir möchten sie ganz besonders zu dir emporheben und einen besonderen Segen und eine besondere Salbung auf sie erbitten. Wir möchten für Ted Wilson, den Präsidenten der GK bitten. Und dass dein Geist auf ihm ruhen möge. Und natürlich auch auf deiner Gemeinde hier in diesem wunderbaren Land. Wir bitten dich, dass an diesem Ort dein Heiliger Geist ein großes Werk tun möge. Ich bitte, dass du reden wirst und wir hören mögen. Segne uns, Herr, zu deiner Ehre. Wir bitten es im Namen Jesu. Amen. [5:28] Just take your time. Yeah, it's okay. I'm mindful that I'm about to share a story with you very close to the city of Stuttgart. Now, if I was going to talk about automobiles, you might expect I would talk about Mercedes-Benz or Porsche. But being as I live in the United States, I'll talk to you about Ford Motor Company. As a matter of fact, I don't think we can tell this story about Mercedes or Porsche. In the 1950s, the Ford Motor Company released a brand new car. In den 1950ern hatte Ford ein ganz brandneues Automobil herausgebracht. Sie haben viel Geld investiert, dieses neue Projekt herauszubringen. The first year it went on the market, in the late 1950s, it sold much less than anticipated. Two years later, less than 3,000 of these cars were sold. Even today, more than half a century later. The name Edsel is associated with catastrophic failure in the United States. Edsel was the son of Henry Ford. And Ford named this automobile in honor of Edsel Ford. But for reasons I don't fully understand, the car was not a success. And it ended up that Ford lost, in today's money, almost 2 billion Euros on the creation of this car. It was a monumental setback for the Ford Motor Company. But today, Ford is the fifth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. And some of the top selling cars in the world are Ford cars. Evidently, from disappointment can come good things. I think of a young man raised in a very good home. He was saved from near death as a baby. By the providence of God, he was raised in a well-to-do home. He was given a wonderful education. He was raised as a member of the royal family. Yet one day, he witnessed something that made him angry. He flew into such a rage that by the time he was done, he had to leave. He had murdered a man. He had to leave his home. He fled and lived in the wilderness. He was given everything a young man could need. He was given more than most people would ever have. And he squandered his privileges. And he ended the life of another human being. How did things work out for that young man? Today, he's in heaven. One of the very few people who have ever lived on earth and are now in heaven. The history of Moses reveals something very important to us. Out of failure, God can bring something wonderful. And as we look today at Revelation chapter 10, we see the same principle applies. Let's take our Bibles and open them to Revelation 10. We'll begin reading in verse 1. The Bible says, and I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. He had a rainbow on his head, his feet, sorry, his feet were covered with a cloud. We understand this to be Jesus. Verse 2 says, he had in his hand a little book open. He said, his right hand was open, and his left hand was closed. And he said, I'm going to tell you a story. He said, his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth. Jesus, coming with a little book open. We know from our study of scripture that the only book that was sealed or shut up was the book of Daniel. So Jesus comes with the book of Daniel. And along with the book, he brings encouragement for his people. More than encouragement, he brings a directive. We read it in verse 8. The voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again. And it said, go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel that stands upon the sea and upon the earth. I went to the angel and said to him, give me the little book. He said, take it and eat it up. It will make your belly bitter. But it shall be in your mouth as sweet as honey. Now in my family, we've had some experience with bitter tasting things. I was away from home and my wife and two children had this very strange experience. After enjoying a salad one day, the next time they ate, they discovered that whatever they ate tasted very bitter. To begin with, they didn't think anything of it. To begin with, they didn't give it too much thought. But the next day when they ate their breakfast, everything was still bitter. Even water tasted bitter. They didn't know what was going on. My wife asked a friend, a nurse, if she might know. And interestingly, she did have an idea. She said to my wife, have you been eating pine nuts? Something which, once in a great while, my wife might put in a salad. Yes, they had had some pine nuts recently. Well, evidently, if you eat pine nuts imported from China, it can make everything you taste bitter. My wife checked and yes, the pine nuts were from China. She asked our friend, how long will this last? Because we don't even want to eat anything. The taste is terrible. It's really bitter. The taste is terrible. Our friend checked the literature and she came back with an answer. She said this could last no longer than two weeks. My wife was horrified. Thankfully it lasted just a few days. But it isn't good when something is bitter. This would be not only bitter in the belly, it would be sweet to the mouth. So initially it would taste good, it would be appealing. But the aftermath of this would be a bitter experience. I've been blessed to visit Asia just a few times. Now, one country that I've been to and I've really enjoyed visiting is Malaysia. I've been to Malaysia a few times. Now, in Malaysia and several other Asian countries, they have a wonderful fruit. It's large, sort of about the size of a volleyball. It's covered in spikes. It looks like something out of a movie. When they fall from the tree, they just fall without warning. You don't want to be standing in the wrong place. And they have a fascinating quality. They smell terrible. No, no, really terrible. You are not allowed to bring one into a hotel. Someone put someone's luggage on an aircraft in Australia. This was not long after 9-11. People on the plane smelled something. There was a real fear that a chemical attack was taking place. And they got everybody off the plane. And searched through the luggage for a chemical weapon. There were no chemical weapons. Instead there were several durians. In German we say stink fruit. I have come to love durian. But my first experience with durian was challenging. I was with a family in Singapore. They wanted to treat me to something local and special. And they said, would you like to try durian? I had heard of this. I was scared stiff. But wanting to be a good guest I said, yes, let me try. They cut open the durian. There is fruit meat. The fruit meat is light yellowish. Someone called it rotten onion mixed with maple syrup. It smells like rotten eggs with maple syrup. I heard another story with eggs. Someone called it rotten onion mixed with maple syrup. I put a little durian in my mouth. I was surprised, it was sweet. So far so good. But then the problems began. I made an unwise decision. I chose to swallow the durian. Down it went. When it got to the bottom, it called up to me. It said, I'm coming back up. I said, no you're not. It said, yes I am. My hosts were watching this with great amusement. I sat there battling with my insides. When things settled down, my hosts were so gracious. They said, would you like more? It was sweet in my mouth, but bitter in my stomach. It reminded me of what we read of in Revelation 10. Let's go back to Revelation 10. John was told this would taste sweet in your mouth. But there would be a bitter experience that would come as a result. As we look at this passage in Revelation 10, we see that it points to something very important in the history of God's people. In the 1820s, a man named William Miller made the decision to study the Bible. He would begin in Genesis 1 and verse 1 and read through. His rule was to believe the Bible just as it said. Except if something appeared to be obviously symbolic, He had a Bible and a concordance and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. There were no Bible commentaries. He didn't attend a theological seminary. But he opened the Bible and studied to see what the Bible said. He made his way all the way to Daniel, the book of Daniel. And then he read Daniel 8 and verse 14. It says, until 2300 days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. Now there are a number of things in that verse that William Miller had to work out. What could 2300 days be? Miller discovered that in Bible prophecy, a day frequently is used to represent a year. He believed this was a period of 2300 years. He wanted to know when the years began and when they ended. Continuing to study his Bible, he found the prophecy we looked at last night, and discovered that these 2300 years had a definite beginning point. They began in the year 457 B.C. Now William Miller simply had to do some mathematics, and he would discover when the sanctuary would be cleansed. To him, the meaning of the sanctuary was obvious. That was the earth. That was the belief of Miller's day. Now Miller was not a careless student. He was not all together influenced by the spirit of his time. Now Miller was not all together influenced by the spirit of his time. For example, many believed that Jesus would come back to the earth after a 1000 year period of peace. Miller disagreed with this idea. Believing, as we believe today, the millennium would take place after the return of Jesus. But when it came to the subject of the sanctuary, he believed the sanctuary was the earth. that it would be cleansed by fire at the return of Jesus. Imagine his excitement. He had stumbled across a prophecy that predicted when Jesus would return. All he needed to do was calculate the time of Christ's return. He started in 457 BC. He added 2300 years. He came to the year 1843. How thrilled would you be to know exactly when Jesus was coming back? I would excuse you if you wondered how Miller could possibly make this mistake. If you wondered how Miller could possibly make this mistake. For example the Bible speaks very clearly about this. Jesus himself said that no one could possibly know the day or the hour of Jesus's return. And yet here was a man who was calculating the day of Christ's return. I can't explain that either Miller clearly had a blind spot. But did the disciples not have the same thing? Jesus told the disciples repeatedly that he was going to Jerusalem where he would die. And yet when Jesus was nailed to the cross the disciples just couldn't believe it had happened. Yet he had told them again and again and again. I'm fascinated as I read the history of the kings of Israel. Well Israel and Judah. You know they had so many kings, most of them wicked. But even the vast majority of the good kings had several glaring failings. One of them was that in most cases they failed to take away the high places. Which encouraged false worship and left Israel vulnerable to idolatry. Even many of the best kings failed to take away the high places. You know I read these accounts in the Bible and I ask God to help me. Very clearly then it appears that the most committed of us can have blindness when it comes to certain things. Doesn't that make you just wonder a little bit? Could there be something that you are missing? Could it be something that somebody else would say, how can she miss that? Yet because of perhaps our upbringing or our culture because of our experience or our study or lack thereof or for reasons that we simply can't explain it's possible that we too could have areas of spiritual blindness. It's important that we pray with humility before God and ask God to help us to see the things that we might be missing. 1843, Jesus is coming back. Except Jesus didn't come back. And then Miller's mistake was realized. If you calculate from minus 5 to plus 5 you know that that is an amount of 10. Except if you go from 5 B.C. to 5 A.D. that's only 9. Because there is no year zero. What an obvious mistake. Jesus wasn't going to come back in 1843. He was coming back in 1844. How could Miller miss such an obvious thing? Not only was Jesus coming back in 1844. He was coming back on October the 22nd. As I look around this room I see a group of people largely Seventh-Day Adventists. And if you're not Seventh-Day Adventist then you must have Seventh-Day Adventist friends. Or a Seventh-Day Adventist enemy who believes in you. Or a Seventh-Day Adventist enemy who forced you to be here today. The Adventists in the 1840s really believed that Jesus was coming back. Some of them left their crops in the fields and didn't harvest them. They weren't going to be needed. Some of them put virtually all the money they had into spreading the Advent message. One hundred thousand people either were expelled from their churches or separated from their churches. They were committed. Now they were wrong. But they were committed. And I've often wondered what today's church would look like if we possessed even half of the zeal and commitment that they possessed back then. Can you imagine how excited you would be knowing that Jesus was coming back on a certain date at a given time? The hope of Jesus' return is everything to us. Now I got excited knowing I was coming here to Germany. I was recently in my home country of New Zealand. Now if you want to get excited plan a trip to New Zealand. I couldn't wait. I was counting down the days. I was going to see my mother. I was going to walk the streets of my hometown. Sleep in the bedroom I slept in when I was just a little boy. I couldn't wait for the day to come. But of course that's nothing compared to the joy of knowing Jesus is coming back. And many eyes were on William Miller and the Adventists. Of course these were not Seventh-day Adventists. Adventist was the term given to those looking for the advent of Jesus. William Miller was a Baptist. Many others believed that Jesus was coming back. In the early 1800s the idea of the second coming of Jesus was starting to be promoted and spoken about openly. A man named Joseph Wolff travelled the world preaching about the second coming of Jesus. He even spoke about the second coming in the US. A British preacher named Edward Irving promoted the idea of the second coming of Jesus. A Jesuit priest named Manuel de la Cunza promoted the idea of the second coming of Jesus. He was a Christian. This was happening in various places around the world. Each preacher working independently of the other. And now the message of the second coming was being openly popularized in the United States. Eyes were watching William Miller. And what happened? Clearly Jesus did not come back. And what became known as the great disappointment occurred. Jesus had not come back. Imagine how you would feel if you predicted the day Jesus was coming back. Turned out you were wrong. This is known as the great disappointment. It could have been called the great embarrassment. No, Jesus did not come back. What became of these 100,000 people? Many of them just quietly went back to the church where they had come from. Some just gave up their hope in the second coming altogether. But then there was another group. They knew that Miller was wrong. But they also believed that Miller was right. They looked at Daniel 8.14. And they said, 2,300 days. Which were really 2,300 years. They looked at the starting point of the prophecy. 457 B.C. And they looked at the ending point of the prophecy. It really was 1844. 2,300 years. So Miller was right. But clearly he was also wrong. And they chose to go back to the Bible and study and pray. It would be difficult, wouldn't it? To overcome a disappointment like that. But as a result of that study and prayer that little group of Adventists ended up with five landmarks of Adventism. One of them, the second coming of Jesus. Another, the binding nature of the seventh day Sabbath. The second coming of Jesus. Another, the third angel's message and it's relationship to the first two angel's messages. Another item or another point, the non-immortality of the soul. They believed also in the ministry of Jesus Christ. They believed also in the ministry of Jesus in the heavenly sanctuary. Imagine this if you would. A group of people studying their Bibles and a God in heaven wanting that they discover important truths for earth's last days. Certainly God was listening when William Miller told somebody Jesus is coming back in 1843. Undoubtedly the Holy Spirit was working with William Miller when he arrived at the 1844 date. Human beings were taking faltering actions but it is a law of our physical nature that one cannot run before one walks. It was the plan of God that his church would run with the three angel's messages. It was the plan of God that his church would run with the three angel's messages. But there was a lot for faulty human beings to work through. Tradition and ignorance. Cultural conditioning. Perhaps the baggage that they were carrying with them from their previous experience. God had great plans for the world. And he had wonderful plans for his church. And even though God saw William Miller making a colossal mistake God knew that from that disappointment would come something wonderful for the world. God knew that from that disappointment would come something wonderful for the world. God looked down to the year 2016. He saw an Adventist church with 19 million members. At least that many more attending church every week. God saw the three angel's messages going around the world with power. What the Adventists saw in 1844 was only disappointment. But God knew that from that disappointment could come something great. Friend, it is our lot to experience disappointment. What's most important is how we allow God to deal with that disappointment in our lives. What's most important is how we allow God to deal with that disappointment in our lives. Und es geschah danach, da kamen die Moabiter und die Ammoniter mit ihnen anderen neben den Ammonitern, um Josaphat zu bekämpfen. In Vers 2 wird dem König gesagt, eine große Menge rückt gegen dich heran von jenseits des toten Meeres. Und Vers 3 sagt uns, da fürchtete sich Josaphat. Er hatte ganz Judah ein Fasten ausgerufen und schaute, was die Menschen taten. Sie kamen alle zusammen und sie suchten den Herrn um Hilfe. Ihre Existenz war in Gefahr und sie kamen, um Gott zu suchen. Niemand wollte diese Erfahrung jetzt machen. Soweit ich mich erinnern kann, habe ich nie so etwas erlebt. Zu glauben, dass mein Leben jetzt im Prinzip vor dem Ende steht. Und dort, an diesem Punkt, hat sich das Volk Gottes wiedergefunden. Was hat Josaphat getan? Er kam zu Gott und er betete. In Vers 6 sagt er, du bist der Gott im Himmel und du regst über alle Königreiche der Erde. Er sagt, in deiner Hand ist Kraft und Macht. Niemand kann vor dir bestehen. Er hat Gott erinnert, was Gott für Israel getan hat. Du hast die Einwohner des Landes vertrieben und es dem Samen deines Menschen. Menschen, die ihr Leben ruiniert haben. Menschen, die sich selbst als Versager sehen. Menschen, die eigentlich Gott lieben und in den Himmel wollen. Aber sie sehen den Weg nicht. Und ich bin so gesegnet, heute die Bibel öffnen zu können und ihnen sagen zu können, dass Gott sagt, dass seine Stärke zur Vollkommenheit kommt in Schwachheit. Ist das nicht eine Schwachheit? In Schwachheit. Ist das nicht ein erstaunlicher Gedanke? Gesunde Menschen gehen nicht zum Arzt. Kranke Menschen gehen zum Arzt, weil sie gesund werden möchten. Wenn du jemals geistliche Krankheiten in deinem Leben gesehen hast, dann bist du derjenige, für den der Arzt auf die Erde kam. Die Bibel verheißt uns, dass Gott seinen Sohn nicht gesandt hat, um die Welt zu verdammen, sondern dass die Welt durch ihn gerettet werden könnte. Das ist einer der großen Gründe, warum ich Elder Wilson so empfinde an der Gerechtigkeit von Christus. William Miller hat in seiner Weisheit einen Fehler gemacht. Gott hat ihn aber nicht beiseite gelegt oder weggeschmissen. Aber Gott sah eine Möglichkeit darin, seine Endzeitgemeinde zu erweitern. Die Bibel sagt uns sehr deutlich, dass wir in der Gnade Gottes wachsen sollen. Längs des Weges findet man Dinge, wo man an sich selbst enttäuscht ist. Das wird ganz bestimmt so sein. Aber was tust du mit dieser Schwäche? Du nimmst es und bringst es zu Gott. Was tust du mit deinem Versagen? Du nimmst es und bringst es zu Gott. Was tust du mit deiner Unzulänglichkeit? Du nimmst es und bringst es zu Gott. Und die Bibel gibt uns eine Verheißung, dass Gott in uns das Wollen und das Vollbringen hat, um die Welt zu verdammen. Wir beten an Gott, wie es Jehoshaphat tat, und wir sagen, unsere Augen sind auf dich gerichtet. Werden wir Enttäuschungen in unserem Leben treffen? Auf jeden Fall wird es die geben. Aber was ist Gottes Plan für seine Gemeinde? Wir sahen es auf Offenbarung 18, Vers 1. Gottes Plan ist, dass wir so wachsen, dass sein Charakter durch uns scheint und diese finstere Welt erleuchtet. Liebe Freunde, wir sind schwach, er ist stark. Wir sind ungerecht, aber Christus bietet uns seine Gerechtigkeit. Wir haben versagt, aber es gibt Erfolg in Jesus Christus. Worauf sind deine Augen heute gerichtet? Auf wen schaust du im Glauben heute? Unsere geistlichen Vorfahren haben eine große Enttäuschung durchgemacht. Und daraus hat Gott eine Gemeinde entstehen lassen, die ihr bis zum Sieg führen möchte. Wir, wie William Miller, müssen Enttäuschungen erleben. Gottes Plan ist, uns durch das zu wachsen. Ich habe viele Menschen getroffen, die so verzweifelt waren, dass sie kurz davor standen, aufzugeben. Sie hatten den Eindruck, sie können einfach nicht das Leben leben, wie Gott es sich eigentlich wünscht. Ich kann euch versprechen, ihre Augen sind nicht auf ihm. Wenn deine Augen auf Gott gerichtet sind, dann freut man sich an seiner Gerechtigkeit. Dann freut man sich an seiner Gerechtigkeit. Man vertraut seiner Gnade. Man ist sich bewusst, dass er gnädig ist. Man glaubt an seinen Sieg. Und wenn du dein Leben Jesus übergibst, dann erlebst du, wie Jesus sein Leben in dir liebt. Dann erlebst du, wie Jesus sein Leben in dir liebt. Ich hatte einen Freund, der als Zeichenmaler arbeitete. Das war in den alten Tagen. Als Zeichenmaler arbeiteten. Zeichen und Schilder. Werbeschilder, Werbeplakate. Die wurden damals sogar noch mit Farbe gemalt. Heute benutzen die natürlich Computer dafür. Aber es gab Zeiten, da musste man noch ein Künstler sein und Pinsel und Farbe benutzen. Mein Freund bekam einen Telefonanruf. Mein Freund bekam einen Telefonanruf eines Tages. Es war von einem Rennfahrer. Er lebte in einem Teil der USA, wo diese Wettrennen stattfinden. Also nicht Formel 1. Sie nennen das NASCAR-Rennen. Es ist das langweiligste auf der Welt. Aber die Menschen lieben es. Mein Freund bekam einen Anruf vom berühmtesten Fahrer der ganzen Renngeschichte. Bevor er aus der Wettbewerbung zurückkehrte, war er bekannt unter dem Namen der König. Er hat diesen Telefonanruf entgegengenommen. Die andere Stimme sagte, hier ist Richard. Der König spricht am Telefon mit mir. Ja, Richard, wie kann ich dir helfen? Er sagte, ich habe ein Wettrennen heute Abend. Ich habe heute einen neuen Sponsorenvertrag geschrieben. Ich möchte, dass du zur Rennbahn kommst und mir einen neuen Sponsorenvertrag schreibst. Er sagte, er war auf dem Weg zur Rennbahn. Diese Rennwagen sind in einem ganz bestimmten Gebiet untergebracht. Nicht jeder kann da so rein und raus spazieren. Mein Freund rannte dorthin mit seinen Pinseln und der Farbe. Er hat dem Security-Menschen gesagt, wen er dort treffen wollte. Er meinte, du bist hier, um den König zu sehen. Er hat ihn nicht reingelassen. Er sagte, ich muss nichts tun. Damals gab es noch keine Handys. Er hat sich gefragt, was er als nächstes tun soll. Als der Pfarrer herauskam, rief er ihn mit Namen. Plötzlich hat sich der Security-Menschen sehr gesehnt. Der Pfarrer meinte, du musst jetzt mit dem Malen anfangen. Mein Freund ging in dieses verbotene Gebiet. Er ging hinein und hat seine Arbeit getan. Du wärst dort nicht hineingekommen an jedem Tag. Und ich auch nicht. Aber was hat den Unterschied gemacht? Er war mit dem König befreundet. Ich hoffe, ihr habt größere Ziele im Leben, als bei so einer Rennstrecke dabei zu sein. aber wir haben den Plan, in ein Gebiet zu gehen, wo nicht jeder so einfach hineinspazieren kann. Jesus kommt wieder, um sein Volk in den Himmel zu nehmen. Und was wird den Unterschied machen an jenem Tag? Es wird nicht darum gehen, ob man auf dem Weg auch Fehler gemacht hat oder nicht. Wir haben alle gesündigt und die Herrlichkeit Gottes verführt. Aber das, was dir den Unterschied macht, ist, ob du mit dem König bist oder nicht. In deinem Leben wirst du große Enttäuschungen finden. Und das ist das Wichtigste. Ich will ihren Evangelium sehen. In deinem Leben wirst du große Enttäuschungen finden. Oft wirst du sagen, es ist absolut meine Schuld. Aber Gott wird uns in seiner Gnade nicht einfach zurücklassen. Gott wird in seiner Güte nicht einfach die Türen des Himmels schließen. Wenn deine Augen auf ihn gerichtet sind, dann wird er in deinem Leben das tun, was getan werden muss. Der Kampf ist nicht deine Sache, es ist Gottes Sache. Wenn du mit dem König zusammen bist, dann wirst du auch das Königreich erben. Ich möchte dich fragen, wie es heute dir geht. Bist du mit dem König? Natürlich hast du Enttäuschungen auf dem Weg gehabt. Und so wie Gott eine Gruppe von Gläubigen durch eine Enttäuschung brachte, um dann Gottes Gemeinde für die letzte Zeit der Weltgeschichte zu formen, dann wird Gott dir auch das Königreich erben. Gott wird uns durch unsere Enttäuschungen hindurchführen und uns vorbereiten, eine Ewigkeit mit ihm zu verbringen. Die Frage ist allerdings, bist du mit dem König? Ich frage euch jetzt nicht, ob schon alles in eurem Leben geklärt ist, aber bist du mit dem König? Ist deine Hand in seiner Hand? Sind deine Augen auf ihn gerichtet? Jesus kommt bald wieder. Er will, dass wir über allem anderen gerettet werden. Wir haben heute die Gelegenheit, unsere Herzen wieder zu öffnen, um Gott zu sagen, dass wir mit ihm sein wollen, mit dem König. Wir möchten die Enttäuschungen der Vergangenheit vergessen und vorausschauen auf die Herrlichkeit, die Gott für uns vorbereitet hat. Es ist wirklich Zeit, eine Entscheidung zu finden. Lasst uns gemeinsam beten. Unser Vater im Himmel, wir danken dir heute für Jesus, unseren Erlöser und Freund. Wir danken dir, wie du durch die große Enttäuschung eine Gemeinde hindurchgebracht hast, die heute deine Gemeinde in der letzten Zeit ist. Und wir danken dir, dass die Pläne für deine Gemeinde groß sind. Himmlischer Vater, wir schauen zurück in unser Leben und sehen viele Enttäuschungen, selbst die, das Versagen, das sich so oft wiederholt. Wir danken dir heute, dass du ein gnädiger Gott bist, dass Jesus sein großer Erlöser ist. Unsere Augen sind auf dich gerichtet. Wir bitten dich, das zu tun, was wir nicht tun können. Wir glauben, der Kampf ist nicht unsere Sache, sondern deine Sache. Und wir danken dir, dass du für uns kämpfst. Wir bitten dich, dass du mit dem König verbunden bist. Hast du dein Herz ihm geöffnet? Hast du die Entscheidung getroffen, von seinem Geist geleitet zu werden? Ich kenne viele Leute, die sagen, Pastor, natürlich habe ich diese Entscheidung getroffen. Ja, aber versuch nicht mich zu betrügen. Es gibt Bereiche in deinem Leben, wo Gott dich auffordert, sie wirklich ihm zu übergeben. Es gibt Dinge in deinem Leben, an denen du hängst, von denen du weißt, du musst sie loslassen. Und wenn du niemals solch eine volle Übergabe an Jesus getan hast, wenn du niemals eine Entscheidung getroffen hast, getauft zu werden, wenn du niemals die Entscheidung gefällt hast, ein wahrer Nachfolger Jesu Christi zu sein, dann ruft Gott dich auf, diese Entscheidung jetzt zu fällen. Lieber Freund, liebe Freundin, als wir in unseren Augen jetzt geschlossen sind, unser Haupt geneigt, möchte der Heilige Geist an deinem Herzen wirken und dich fragen, eine Entscheidung für Jesus zu treffen. Was ist deine Entscheidung heute? Die Zeit ist zu kurz. Jesus kommt zu schnell wieder, sodass wir ihn immer weiter so auf Armlänge vor uns herschieben. Wir dürfen zu Jesus nicht länger sagen, warte. Lieber Vater im Himmel, nimm unsere Herzen. Mach sie zu deinem eigenen. Erfülle uns mit deiner Gegenwart. Bereite uns vor, Jesus begegnen zu können. Wir beten dies im Namen Jesu. Amen.
